Waterproof shoes

Waterproof shoes block water, keeping feet dry even in heavy rain, snow, or puddles. They work best for wet winters or for kids who love to explore during colder weather.

We craft our shoes with care using the PFAS-free Froddo TEX membrane to keep feet dry and comfortable. The PU (polyurethane) layer acts as a smart shield — it blocks water and cold air while providing breathability to keep feet warm and dry. This keeps feet fresh, even on damp, active days.

Water-repellent shoe maintenance

Water-repellent shoes resist light rain and splashes, and regular care helps them maintain their protective properties.

Cleaning

• Wipe off dirt with a dry cloth or soft brush.
• For leather, gently remove dirt and old cream residues, then apply a thin layer of shoe cream. Let it dry, and lightly brush to restore shine.
• Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning products.
• For leather, nubuck, or velour, occasionally apply a waterproofing spray to preserve softness and prevent cracking.

Never store wet shoes. Always dry them completely in a well-ventilated area, keeping them clear of damp spots and direct heat that could crack the leather.

Waterproof shoe maintenance

Models with a TEX membrane block rain and snow. Proper care keeps their waterproof properties effective while ensuring feet stay comfortable. 

Cleaning

• Wipe the outer material with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
• Leather: Remove dirt and old cream residues, apply a thin layer of shoe cream, let it dry, and brush lightly to restore shine.
• Nubuck and velour: Gently clean with a dry cloth or a soft brush. Avoid using cream or water, which can leave marks. For tough stains, use a nubuck/velour cleaning block or sponge.
• Textile: Wipe with a slightly damp cloth or gently brush away dirt.

Air dry naturally, away from direct heat. Use silicone-free waterproofing products to preserve the Froddo-TEX membrane’s functionality.

Keep your child comfortable and protected

Your child’s feet grow fast, so it’s essential to measure them regularly to ensure shoes fit properly.
